Day 1: When the Valley Feels Final
Devotional:
There are moments in life when everything around you looks like a dead end. A relationship that fell apart. A dream that did not survive. A season that left you feeling like there is no coming back. It is easy in those moments to look at what is in front of you and decide that this is how the story ends. But Ezekiel 37 tells a different story. God brought Ezekiel into a valley filled with dry, scattered bones. Not just dead, but completely dried out. The picture of total defeat. And yet, God did not show up to mourn. He showed up with a plan. Here is what is so encouraging about that moment. God never walks into a situation wondering what He is going to do next. He already sees the outcome. He already sees His people where others only see ruins. He sees tomorrow's victory where you only see today's pain. You are not too far gone. Your situation is not too broken. The valley you are standing in right now is not the final chapter. God is present in it, and He has a plan for it. Take a breath today. You do not have to have it all figured out. You just have to trust the One who does.

Bible Verse
"The hand of the Lord was on me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' I said, 'Sovereign Lord, you alone know.'" - Ezekiel 37:1-3
Reflection
What valley in your life right now feels too far gone, and have you allowed that feeling to quietly convince you that even God cannot change it?
Quote
"God never walks into a situation wondering how He's going to get out of it. So when he took Ezekiel in to the Valley to show him the dry, dead bones, he had a plan. And his plan was to speak life into his people again."
Prayer
Lord, I confess that I have let what I can see limit what I believe You can do. Remind me today that You are already present in my valley with a plan. Give me the courage to trust You with what I cannot yet understand. Amen.
